While visiting Indiana State you might want to try out the different parks that are available. Indiana has twenty five state parks which are operated by the Indiana Department of Natural resources (DNR). The parks act as an outlet for those who want to experience nature at its finest and want to look at beautiful scenic areas that can only be found in Indiana State Parks.

If you intend to visit the Indiana State Parks it would be wise to first get a map so as to get to know the surroundings before you embark on your journey. You might want to know where all the facilities are based such as the medical facility, the gas stations, and grocery stores if you are traveling by caravan and are cooking for yourself. You might also want to know more about the parks you are visiting that is why its best to log on to the parks website and get all info you need there.

The Indiana State Parks have been divided by the DNR into three regions. Six of these parks have been placed as the Northern lakes region parks, seven as the Central river plains region parks and nine in the southern hills region parks in the State of Indiana. Basically, this means you get to experience a good look of beautiful looking lakes, get to hike or climb up hilly terrain and last but not least you get try out the rivers which probably you get white water rafting.

There is so much to be experienced in Indiana parks and so much activities that one can get involved in, making your stay in the State of Indiana enjoyable as well as an experience you will want to keep coming back to relive again and again.
